It's time to replace my worn out motor and thought this place looked good:www.rebuilt-auto-engines.com...... looks are deceitful..although the warranty is good!!

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a re manufactured or rebuilt motor?

I really like the idea of a "new" genuine jeep crate motor but haven't found any thing yet????Do I just go to the dealer and order one?

Thanks

I dunno - most of these places look a little shonky to me. Is it any wonder I'm planning to open an engine and auto Jeep shop?

I've got to figure out how to build a Dyno cell tho - I'd like to be able to send engines out already run-in, and include a dyno report with the paperwork for the thing...

Gimme five years or so - I've got a lot of work to do in the meantime!

Mopar has a crate longblock but it's in the $2400 range. One suggestion is to try you're local Dodge dealer; In So Cal. that can save you a few hundred $$ over the local Jeep steeler.
