Distributor seals or seal?

K, here's the story, 93 XJ 4.0 HO I6 automatic 210,000 miles. Oil in Distributor, I know blow by, but FOOLISHLY without checking NAXJA I ran right to the dealer for a seal kit; forgetting that I had masked off the top crankcase vent while degreasing the engine from a steering hose leak. Ironically fixing one leak created the other.
Well I have the distributor out and the seals so I might as well just use them which brings me to the question:

1. How many seals are thier?

The dealer gave me two: one gasket between the block and the dist. housing no problem there; and then a seal which seems to have a matching I.D. to the dist shaft O.D.

2. If I need the second seal where does it go?

I didn't see one while pulling the dist. appart and can find no place for the second seal to fit.

Anyone with any info is always appreciated I have 210,000 miles on her and would have never gotten them if it wasn't for NAXJA. Thanks JD

I think the distributor changed a little between 93 and 95 - I know the mounting of the cam position sensor is a little different But according to the 95 FSM the shaft seal is not serviceable, and so unfortunately they don't bother to show where it is. They do acknowledge that there is a seal in there somewhere.

It isn't blow-by. Blow-By is oil in the air filter. I have/had oil in my distributor on my '88. I'd recomend getting a rebuilt distributor from NAPA or elsewhere. I think I paid $50 for mine, plus the core. Your seals and possibly bushings in the distributor are a bit worn.
