will a zj front cv driveshaft work

i was wondering if a zj cv front Shaft measuring (Joint 2 joint) 33.5" collapsed 35.5" extended and From 2nd joint measurmenting are 31" and 33", could be used in the rear of a 96 xj with sye and 4.5 in lift or would it not work?

I would have to say that it's entirely possible (just a guess). Give it a try and let us know. I would be interested to know myself.

I just picked one up for a spare myself.

It measured perfect for my application, '96 XJ w/ 3" lift.

I needed a 33" nominal length. I would prefer it was about 1/2"-1" longer but it will definitely work.

They are just like XJ shafts.

IIRC, this one measured 31" - 34".

BTW, it's not a CV shaft like what some ZJ front axle shafts are. It's a dual cardan setup.
