Potential Wiring Harness Short

While trying to track down the erratic sensor or electrical problem giving my '97 XJ fits, I found another potential source of trouble. The wiring harness that runs through the plastic tray across the intake manifold had chafed through the plastic tape and was working on the wires at both ends. The upstream O2 sensor wires were worn through to copper at the front and several wires were starting to wear through the insulation at the rear. I don't know whether anything in that harness carries enough voltage for an engine fire, but I would have for sure lost the injectors with a short.
