Aux fan cycles on/off with A/C on

Can't remember if it does it all the time with the A/C on......

But i was sitting at a light today with the A/C on, and the aux fan would cycle on and off every few seconds.......i remember it doing this before. I thought the aux fan was supposed to stay on all the time with the A/C compressor running???

BTW, no cooling problems whatsoever

Yes, the fan is on when the A/C compressor is on. But the A/C compressor doesn't run continously. The compressor and the fan will continuously cycle on and off when the A/C is working properly.

Normal, it will do it in the winter too with the defroster setting, noticable in the dark because your headlights will also momentarily dim each time the compressor and the fan cycle on.
