Thread #4...
Can anyone tell me what would cause the ECU to kill the auto shut-down relay circuit at start-up, without giving any error codes or CEL? Just started doing this, no previous stalling problems. It might start and run for a few minutes, then it just dies. Might restart, might not.
I thought it was the ASD relay, but no luck. This is a 2000 XJ Sport, 4.0/auto, all stock. I've read through a lot of other posts, and possible causes run from loose door wiring to mud on your tires. What if it is low fuel flow / low fuel pressure? Would you get an error code for low fuel pressure? Would the ECU kill the engine, and not give an error code?
