I am so PO'ed right now...nothing on this dana 44 has gone right yet..I was supposed to have it in 2 weeks ago..lets leave it at that.
I ordered a new LEFT (DRIVER'S) side shaft for a 97+ TJ D44...should be the same as the XJ D44 right? Well it's not..it is the same length (I think...not gonna pull it out of the housing) as the pass., or shorter side on the XJ D44.
Did someone not tell me something? Is the TJ D44 the opposite setup? Or was it mis-tagged?
I got it from West Coast Differentials, part # DAN75786-2X....not to mention I shelled out the cash to get this thing next day.
BTW, the old, long shaft looks to be about 29 3/8", the new one looks to be about 28 3/4"...
