I'm still hunting for my next XJ, but have been staying away from 2000's. Ideally I want a '99 for the HP30. However, I'm going to need to buy something soon. Is there a way to tell which 2000's have the cylinder #3 problem? There's a few for sale near me - and they're cheaper than the '99s.

Many 2000's had a head defect that caused a crack in cylinder 3.mikejwil said:
