So how are all of you doing with "preparedness"? Due to other commitments (school and work) looks like I'll be packing, changing oil, checking fluids and so on late night Thursday, leaving for work Fri 5am and then leave for Utah from there (with an overnight stop at the Saint George area)...... hopefully I won't forget anything.

Still need to get new rims and tires installed on the truck, install the new shocks, and do brakes all around. The Jeep needs a new windshield (don't ask), which will get installed tomorrow. Oh, and I need to rotate the trailer tires.

But, I don't leave 'til Wed.

Work on DW, work on DW, work on DW and work on DW. Oh, and get my CO2 holder welded together (finished the tank tonight).

I had to work on the Jeep...

Lucky me, couldn't have been something simple. :D

My list is pretty simple stuff. Just got to get off my butt and do them.

Change tranny mount
change frt bumpstops out
fix coil retainer clips
new spring eye bushings in rear springs
get spare for trailer
get food
get beer..maybe some Crown
pack
but I have this weekend to take care of that

see ya on Mon. evening

Rebuilt all of the control arms this week,
I tried to do them at home with a vice,
ended up doing them yeasterday at the shop with a press.

Rebuilt the front bumper, again. still looks like $h!t, but it isn't broke in half anymore, I hate doing things in a hurry!

Replacing all of the bolts in my control arms.
9/16 bolts?

[sarcasam]That is a common size.[/sarcasm]

Now I know why one of the joints went south, WAY south.
I put a 1/2 bolt in one of the CAs last year.

I also had to weld the axle end UCA bushing to the stupid passenger side tin bracket.
It was so mangled that the bushing would not stay in place,
it kept working loose.

I will be glad when I get my new axles done and I can stop messing with these.

I also have a wide selction of local micro brews for trading.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

What the hell Ron?

I know, I know, I know... Working on the Jeep is a pretty rare event for me.

That's why I had my buddy with a tranny shop replace it for me. He still owes my for all of the bellhousings and cases I've welded back together for him over the years. He told me on the phone to come get it, weld it up, and he'd get it back in.

I told him that would constitute working on my Jeep... And that would just not be acceptable this week. :D
