I am using a combination of dakota leafs and stock leafs from a donor XJ in the rear to hopefully gain about 2"-2.5" My question is should i use 2" spacers (~$35.00) or coils from an F150 (~$13.00 from a PnP yard). What are the pros and cons of each? I hardly ever wheel (and then only midly, getting to campsites or driving on the beach) and don't plan on ever taking this vehicle any higher than this
My plan in the rear is to add the first leaf below the main from the Dakota, and the first leaf below the main from the XJ donor, and then add the overload leaf from the Dakota. Does that sound like it might give me about 2"-2.5" in the rear? I'm only sagging about a 1/2" now.
the rear will be in this order:
Main XJ leaf (original w/eyes)
Dakota 2nd leaf (added)
XJ 2nd leaf (added)
XJ 2nd leaf (original)
XJ 3rd leaf (original)
XJ 4th leaf (original)
Dakota overload (added)
Any other ideas on how to stack the pack and give me 2"-2.5" are appreciated.
