i have a ford 9" that is 63" wms.
i want to put it in my xj and cant find much on install on the internet.
i need to know mostly about my brake options.
anything about install would be nice.
probably going to cut down tubes to keep it street legal.
anyone that knows any links would be much appreciated.

thanks,
brad

I assume you are talking about a rear 9". I have a rear on my CJ7. I have 8.8 disk brake conversion on them. Hold my 38's all day. Will lock them up on the street. Not sure about the XJ but here are some things I had to do on the CJ7:

Adapters for the brake lines
Move the spring perches
take the drive shaft down and get a new yoke welded on it to fit the ford 9"

Brake stuff can be had on Ebay, get the brackets and scrounge up the 8.8 parts.

my ford 9" has the factory drum brakes

the brake lines bolted right into my YJ rear brakeline

i am working on my write up and someday i will finish it, but here is the framework (i know some links arent working - that is because i havent put them in yet)
