My question is can you run the hub assembly with no axle shaft in i had to replace one on my non disconnect 30 today and when i took the nut off the shaft it took the threads off so I was just gonna drive it with no shaft it got me about halfway home before the hub assembly seperated and the the front passenger side tire wheel brake rotor and caliper ended up under the jeep which was resting on the lower ball joint of my front axle. so was this my fault for tryin to run withoutta shaft or did i get a faulty hub assembly
thanks for the input ahead of time

yep, the hub needs the shaft to hold it together

hey, guess what? It's your lucky day, I have spare shafts (260x and 297x) and a spare Timken hub with low miles that I'm looking to sell. I'm swapping in a D44 so I don't need my spares any more. PM me if your interested.
