u-joints

can someone tell me where I can get the special u-joint for the front drive shaft mine was all rusted and no needle bearings( the one that hooks to the transfer case and the two u-joints together

Anyplace that sels 1310 ujoints (IIRC it's 1310). Look for spicer brand.

i rebuild the double cardan (the joint you're talking about) in mine the other day. i spent about 50 bucks on 3 ujoints and the ball centering assembly. a pretty good savings based on the driveshaft shop telling me i couldn't do it myself and wanting to charge me 115 bucks.

there is a great write up on how to do it. i did mine with a c-clamp and a decent sized hammer.

NAPA should have what you're looking for. At least with them it's not a crap-shoot for the correct part!
