Bay Area XJ'rs, lend me your ears

Have searched the forums, done the troubleshooting (knocks while engine loaded or not, and immediately upon start up to operating temp-rod knock and flexplate ruled out) and still not sure what is causing the knocking sound on my 89 xj. Broomstick technique inconclusive. It's getting louder and would like to swing my rig by any XJ'ers in San Francisco Bay Area for a second opinion. Anybody out there got 5 minutes to listen to my sick puppy. 204k on 4.0.

Hows your oil pressure?

According to in-dash gauge, oil pressure fluctuates between 20 and 60, mostly at 40.

You know what you are describing sounds like a tranny mount thats shot, My '90 started knocking and it got louder under throttle and I couldn't figure it out to save my arse. I checked everything you did and thought it was a rod or piston slap, just for kicks I replaced the tranny mount and no more knock. Just my $.02 G'luck!

Tranny mount replaced about 40k ago. Sound comes much forward of that, from engine itself.
