How much better is Non-C Clip D35?

I have an '85 Limited Wagoneer XJ with the Non-C Clip Dana 35. I'm running the stock 3.73s, with 33s. Is the Non-C Clip any stronger? Or is it just a semi-floating vs. the C-Clip style which is a non floating?

The best thing about a non-c Clip is the wheels don't fall of when you snap an axle.

i think they are the same strength you just dont need to worry about the wheel falling off if you snap an axel as langer1 said

same crappy strength, just easier to deal with when you break

I believe you did mention that you are running 33" tires?

"When" would probably be the appropriate term ...

I have broke two d-35 non-c clip axles in less than a year and a half with only a 2.5 four cylinder and a heavy foot. The 8.8 is on the way.
