used gear break-in?

I rebuilt a HP30 for my TJ with a set of used (<10K miles) gears and new bearings and seals.
Do I still need to go through the break-in procedure, or can I just run it? I'm assuming the gears don't need to be "hardened", but I wasn't sure about the bearings. If I need to do the fluid change, I wanted to get it done before the road trip to COFest.
TIA!

Just run them. If their any noise don't run them long and reset them. Sometimes, to quiet them down, you have to set them out of spec because they were worn that way.

Bearings don't need the break in.

They seem real quiet right now, but i've only got 150 miles or so on them. The pattern was good, with a .009" backlash.
I'm gonna run them.

Thanks!

Sounds okay except for the lash. I worry with that much on a 30.

If they are going to make noise they almost always start immediately.

Good luck and have fun.
