OBA: no electric fan

I know plenty of people have had this problem, but no one seems to know how to fix it... My electric fan won't come on by itself...this was happening before (when my A/C cluctch wouldn't engage) and now that I've done away w/ the AC and converted to oba. I'd like the fan to come on when the temp goes up instead of installing a switch...but may have to eventually anyway. Anyone figured this out yet? Thanks.

When I did my dual electric fan conversion I bought an adjustable electric fan thermostat kit. This comes with a temp probe that you can tell it when you want it to engage the fan. The only problem I have heard of with these kits is that they don't last and mine wasn't an exception. She died just shy of a year, but what I had hooked up to it wasn't a factory fan setup.
