another doorless thread

well i did search and im stumped. i pulled the doors off my '89 power everything,lol..radio worked for most of the day and now i have nothing, the radio lights are really dim kinda weird. any ideas where to start? i checked fuses etc..im thinking maybe i shorted the stereo out itself.any ideas are welcome!

Did you cut the wire to take off the door? Or did you unplug the wires? Might try putting the doors back on and seeing if that works

Well, there shouldn't be a connection between your problem and the removal of your doors. Keep checking fuses and wires that might have been pulled out by mistake.

actually the radio is connected to the doors in a way.if you cut the speaker wires that ran to the door speakers.they could have shorted out on something.

it could be that the deck dont like not having the resistance from the speakers and fried the chanels out .. not that likely but possible
