93 xj dual aux fans?

went wheeling over the weekend and blew the 2nd clutch fan, tired of replacing em. will a stock aux electric fan fit using the stock lower mounting tabs that the shroud uses? anyone ever tried this kind of setup and how well did it work. if it fits without mod. i plan on running 2 switches to the dash for total control. thanks

A stock auxiliary fan is too thick and won't fit in the available space where the clutch fan normally sits. Look for a 14" electric fan on e-bay that pulls at least 1500cfm and is no more than 3-1/4" thick. You can mount it to the stock clutch fan shroud with only minimal modification. Take a look here:
