alright i bent the axle housing on my jeep and found a diesel xj for cheap. It has the 30 up frotn but has cv joints instead of u-joints. can i just swap in my u-joint shafts in place of the cv joint ones?
I would stay with the cv shafts and see how you like them. You can always swap them out later. I feel that the cv shafts are better for turning and are constantly moving versus a u-joint axleshaft having a jerking motion to it. I have put my cv shafts through some pretty bad stuff and have had no problems and that is with 31's and a heavy foot. You can turn at full stuff and not worry about breaking a u-joint which I like alot being able to turn full stuff and not worry about it breaking.
