heater switch wiring

OK, here's the deal. I need to figure out which color wires on the back of the switch go where. The old one burnt up and my brilliant ass cut and LOST the plug. Help! thanks guys

What year, for starters, is needed to help here.

I have the same question...the switch in the back of the control unit burned-out and I just got a replacement unit.

When I pulled the unit a found that one of the post in the swtich completely fell off (due to the burn-out), and the socket connector that holds 5 wires to the switch was scorched. Interstinly, I only saw 4 wires in the socket ( that holds 5). I did find a white wire lead that had been cut and taped-off, hanging in the back of the heater/radio hole on the dash.

I suspect that this white wire was originally attached to the ac/heater control switch.

I have a 96 XJ.
