I have a 96 2 door sport 4wd that is bonestock with the exception of GDI 3 core radiator and an Optima red top battery. It has the 4.0 liter and automatic with 170,000 miles. After the vehicle has been running for about an hour, the motor surges every once in a while. I have watched the tach when it happens and see no drop or increase in engine RPM's. The plugs, wires, cap and rotor have approximately 30,000 on them. Any idea as to what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated.
