does anyone know off hand the width and length of the spring perch on an 8.25?

2.5" x 5"
Personally, I would add an inch to the length for anti-wrap purposes.

When I built the spring perch for my 8.8, I used 2x2x.250 square tubing, and made it 7 inches long to help with anti-wrap.

They should be 2-1/2" wide to match the width of the springs.
