couple of quick engine quesions

well im switching heads between two jeeps. just got it back from the machnist. and its all ready to go. i just painted it hemi orange

since my head gasket is gonna be like $40 is there any tips to avoid messing this up?

and what sort of seelent should i use on my cork valve cover gasket. ive used blue rtv on like 4 of these and it seems to melt off. what should i use??????? i hate oil leaks!!!!

and are there any other tips? intake/exaust gaskets?? i dont know i got all fel-pro stuff

I used gasket sealer for aircraft engines. Got it from a brother-in-law who is an aircraft mechanic. No leaks yet.
