Speedo problems

Question?
I have a 1992 XJ 4.0LHO auto
and my speedo works most of the time but every now and then it will stop working for like a day then work again?
Any ideas?
I'm new at this whole Jeep thin and don't know alot about it yet.
So explane and pic's if possable would be great!

1992 is the first year for the electric speedo, right? A failed/failing Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on the t-case will do that, tazz.

Yeah it has a electric speedo (no speedo cable).
Anyone have a pic of a VCC so I know what it looks like. I also just wanna be sure it's not just a loose connector or something.
