TC drop and driveshaft length

I just dropped the transfer case an inch this afternoon. I have 4.5 lift at rear and 3.5 front. Before the drop i had 2 1/8 '' of slip yoke showing. After dropping the tc an inch the slip yoke has only recessed 1/8''. Is this normal ? I thought that by correcting the driveline angles some , i would have alot less slip yoke shaft showing!!!!! Also is 2" too much? I dont want it falling out.
