Why is this such a problem?

NP229 - 32 spline yoke. GNK sucks!
Can anyone PLEASE tell me what SPECIFIC yoke I need in order to swap my 32 spline GNK-style yoke out for the double cardan CV yoke for the front driveshaft in my '85? I've exhausted every resource I have - everyone is giving me conflicting info. HELP - if you can.

If its 32 spline try one from a 242, 249, 247, basically anything in the 24? series of cases. The first three I know are 32 spline. Wether they are correct length I don't know. If you have some dimensions from yours I could take some measurements to compare.
