the layout is also located in your owners manual. if it's the one under the hood, the cover has a layout diagram on the inside.

if you need, i can walk out to my xj at lunch and get you what you need

Thanks all;) i bought myself one of these "1980-2001 Jeep Cherokee manuals" :p Thanks again,
D.

If anyone actually has this (layout for inside fuse panel for '98), it would be of great help to me! I just bought a '98 and there are some electrical issues, but there was no owner's manual.
Thanks!

If noone has the layout, can someone with a '98 manual please tell me what fuse # is the cig lighter, the aux power (2nd cig lighter) and if there's a fuse inside for the factory fog lights?
Thanks!

Not to get too far off topic, but in my manual it shows fuse number #10 OPEN.
If I pull that fuse, it throws a 1491 - Radiator fan relay fault code.

Not sure what years this affects, mines a 99..

PW - all posts stated 10 was OPEN. Am I missing something?

On my 99 if you pull fuse #10, the check engine light will come on and throw a 1491 code. I was going nuts trying to figure it out one day til someone posted their fuse panel...

I know it's an old post, but thanks for putting this up. I just picked up a 99 and it's got a few gremlins I want to work on and I don't feel like waiting for the FSM, and owner's manual I ordered to show up. :D

Rather than start a new thread, can someone tell me which one would be power windows on the 98? I see that locks are on a fuse by themselves (15), but no windows?

Neither my windows or locks work, and I want to start with the fuses. I'm wondering if there is a fuse on the cab for the windows or something under the hood?
