Trans Question

I have a very simple question... I am rebuilding my motor and I am almost ready for a test start up... But I am not completly done, I havent gotten my trans collant lines (to the radiator) or even filled the trans with trans fluid yet. Because I will just have it in park do I need trans fluid even in?? I would think not if no power will be transfered though the trans... Can I give it a go or should I wait until my parts come in next week...

NO, do not run it without trans fluid in it. Even in park the pump is spinning & is lubed by the fluid. You WILL damage it with no fluid.
