I was about an hour into a road trip this weekend when a glance in the mirror showed a trail of smoke following behind me.
I pull over to find Tranny fluid dripping on to my exhaust. Further investigation seems to show the only source being the down spout for the dipstick, there is fluid trailing down the pipe. Did it boil over?
Specs are 2001, Automatic, 3" lift, 31X10.50X15 most everything else is stock.
After the I let if cool for 5 minutes I checked the fluid, it is not low.
No problems for the next 1.5 hours of the trip.
No problems 2.5 hours home... what gives?
I still have the stock 3.55 gears, will 4.10's ease off the tranny a bit?
