4x4 mods WHICH WIRE ???

hey guuys i just got the glow gauges. i dont have one of those tester things and i need to connect this red wire to a wire that only works when the lights are on ??? does anyone know what color it would be in my 89 jeep cherokee ??? plus WHERE would the wire be ??? sorry im just confused ?

I think most of mine are orange with ? stripes. Look for a light around the switches. Headlights, etc. There should be one to illuminate the labels.
