4.0 valve lash

just got done installing my cyl head and push rods went to install pushrods and didnt see a valve lash spec it just says to torque to 19 ft lbs. is this right???

It uses hydraulic lifters. There is no adjustment for valve lash, other than the automatic adjustment of the lifter.

I think ( might want to check) the preload on the lifter is between 40 and 80 thousanths. You can increase this with longer ( adjustable ) pushrods or decrease this with shims under the trunion.

That is correct -- for a stock head and a stock block. Did you have the head or the block shaved for flatness?
