Winch wireing melt down.....

Ok its a Wan M8K. One of the wire going from the selonoid pack to the winch motor disconnected from the copper tab that bolts ot the motor. From the looks of things it melted. What guage wire does warn use? 4 guage? Would a 2 guage or 1/0 guage fix this problem? Or is it more likely to be something hiding that I will find once I pull the winch from the bumper?

think it is 4 ga, just purchased an older one and got the parts diagram of the warn website. will send it when I get home or go to warn.com and you should be able to get it

Mine came with 2 gauge

mine has 4 gauge...xp 9.5; 1 year old

Yep its 4 ty. I'll try it again and then go to 2.
