Will my drive shaft fit?

I have a D35 that I'm throwing away and I'm replacing it with an 8.25 (29 spline) and my question is will my current drive shaft just bolt right to it?

I seem to remember something about the yokes being shorter/longer?

I DID.....inconclusive

My drive shaft is not stock, its a YJ slip yoke with a slightly extended shaft. SOOO if the 8.25 pinion is longer than it might not fit, but if its a little shorter than it will.

If I could have found the answer I was looking for by SEARCHing, I wouldn't have asked.

i believe an 8.25 has a longer pinion than a 35
