Does any one know if the 2wd Xj ever came with the d44 or is it just 4wd? Just curious know a lady selling a 2wd cheap just thought about lokking at it but if it has nothing to offer then i won't bother. I really just want to find an Xj 44. Thanks JOE.

P.S. Will the abs ring off of the factory d35 fit the d44 (I'm guessing NO) but thought I would ask.

I swapped a 1987 Dana 44 into my 1994 XJ that had a Dana 35 with out ABS, I was going to use the 94 brakes but the brake backing attach hole are different spacing. I used the 10 x 2.5 inch brakes from the 1987....

doubt it joe. your best bet is to scout "pick-n-pulls". try and go to someone who doesn't look dirty when you're ready to pay. you might get a break.
