re-tread tires

http://www.high-tec-retreading.com/

Got quoted 290 bucks for 4 tires (31s) shipped to my door. I plan on running them when my current set runs bald. Heard good things heard bad things about them just like any other tire. Heard people tell me "oh no the tread will seperate gauranteed , ect, ect, ect. But I just can't justify spending almost 700 bucks on name brand tires. Might want to take a look at the KUMHO Venture M/Ts only like 70 bucks a piece for the 31's and they are new tires. Just bought a set off one of the SGT.s at work and found a review over at offroad.com on the jeep section saying how much they loved the tire.

I've never run them on anything on the street, but I've had friends buy them, and love them. They ran them on their plow trucks with zero problems. They just laugh at me when I pay $100+ for Goodyears.

I have run them on stock cars (they were the spec tire) and never had any problems seperating. Just look at the brand of tires that the re-treads are on...like BFG's and the such...for good sidewalls.

The ones I see on the web site (they show a pic of a tire on the back of an XJ) is a Michelian (SP?) Carcass

i have Hitec retreads (OTR MUD) on BFG carcasses and i like em offroad except when the roads get wet here the tires kinda suck. if your gonna see a lot of rain i would suggest getting the green diamonds and having em siped
