Pretty good skid, you lose a little ground clearance but the thing will save you. very strong, but heavy. also if you order it make sure you make sure you tell them which hitch you have because they switched around 1988, so my holes were all aligned different from the skids and it was a big problem.

You didnt do the img tags right. So I did it for you :)

I couldnt figure out a way to modify it, but when I was at a jeep jamboree a guy from skid row was there. I paid some of his employees to modify my hitch to make their gas tank skid fit. They just cut a dog ear out of the end of the hitch. I dont know if this will work for rustys or not, because after i got the skid row one installed I just sent rustys back.

hey if you go to the skid row web site, and look at the gas tank skid, it looks like they just welded a hitch on to the skid plate, do you think that would be strong enough? i need it to be strong enough to tow a trailer full of lawn equiptment, on a daily bases.

I dont know if it makes a difference, but I am using a hiddent hitch, and to be honest I hardly ever do any towing. So I could NOT tell you for sure, but they didnt cut very much off. So I figure as long as its not an extermely heavy load then you shouldnt have any problems. I just mainly use my hitch as a recovery point.
