steering stabilizer

i am waiting on the driveshaft/sye to install my 4.5'' RE superflex kit with 33x12.50 baja claws...question is will i need a steering stabilizer? what do they actually do? ....if i need one than what recommendations do you have for a good steering stabilizer?

Doesn't hurt...and unless you're running a nice crossover steering setup you'll probably need one.

I use a Rancho RS5401.

I run a Rancho as well (not sure if it's the same #?), and it makes a BIG difference running stock steering with a lift

When I swapped D30 fronts, the old stabilizer bolt sheared off at the tierod. Decided to leave it off and see how it drove. Steering was lighter than with the stabilizer, but no ill effects. So I left it off. Going to do the same thing with the 44 I'm getting ready to go in. Try it without, add if nedded.
