this is kinda hard to exlain its a 90 xj 4.0 auto 4x4 stock suspension

when i hit the brakes and come to a complete stop (kinda fast) it seems like the rear suspension gets hung up in the air from the front nose diving a bit. then when it settles it kinda drops down a bit. upon takeoff it settles back to normal

any ideas?

thanks in advance

Its actually kind of normal. It has to do with weight transfer and and preloading the tires, then holding the axles from turning with the brakes. As soon as you let off the brakes, it drops, right. It is worse with larger tires and lower pressures.

well kind of, it settles after you let off a bit.

you know when a light turns yellow and your on the brakes hard then before you come to a complete stop you ease up a bit so you don't stop violently.

well it settles when i let off a bit

and i do have bfg al terrains 235-75-15 so they're a bit biffer and @ 40 psi
