Tighten rear lift door

Hi,

My rear lift door ('92) seems to be loose at the latch.

Does anyone have a method to tighten it.

yep..had to do the same on my 97.

Should be two adjustments hidden under rubber bumps stops on the right and left of the xj right above the bumper/ beside the tail lights. Takes star bit or metric 10.

Similar to hood adjustments.

your hinges could be loose. Mine were loose when I bought it, all you have to do is pull the head liner down along with the rear upper garnish panel, there will be access ports in the rear over head chassis framing. the hatch bolts are in there.

My 98 rattled some too. I had to replace the bump stops. Very cheap fix.
