I'm about to install new rear axle seals. Which way do they go in? They are open on one side, and flush on the other. The original seals seem to have been installed with the open side out, but illustrations in repair manuals seem to favor the closed side out. The new ones are Federal Mogul, part # 8835S. Thanks.
