Have Guages, Will Solder - fuel guage issue

Slip Kid

That'll buff right out
I'm working on hooking up High-Line guages from a 93, into an 87 that had standard (big fuel) guages. Engine and sensors are from the 93, wire harness is 90% 87.

So I'm splicing wires and I find that the fuel guage seems to be reading backwards? OK so what can I do, can I swap the sensor? Cross some wires? I'm ready to fab a harness or swap the whole gas tank if nessesary. Consider me hell-bent on the high line - I'm not going through this whole engine swap without achieving some bling factor. :laugh3: so lay it to me - I need to know how to get R done, practical or not.

Search tells me to find donor guages from same year, unacceptable, I have $0 budget, free 93 XJ for parts, and unlimited time to work around the snags. Elec speedo is no prob.

Thanks a ton in advance
