I don't get it.

Kudos to the skill required to build it but...

Why not just run a shaved 60 at that point? One of the guys in our club shaved his 60 - about as much clearanance under it as a 30 at that point.

Just my spin.

the RS HP 44 is just about the same strength as a LP60.

the R&P becomes the weak part, but at the last time i read the thread there was talk to cyroing the R&p

he says he has over an inch better clearance than a ProRock 60
 
Probably just a '78-`79 F250 axle. IIRC, it is the same tube and diff as the "rare" camper axle.
