Proving Grounds (Moab)

For those that are familiar with this location, the site is now closed by the developer of Cloudrock. We found out about it by accident, as a friend was on "his property" and was informed about the closure (with new fences & a gate) and subsequent development. He has procured a long term lease from SITLA and will have the area posted accordingly as well as a full time security guard during EJS to ward off any potential trespassers. And "they" just keep gnaughing away........

your friend acctually ran in to him or one of his idiots, a few of us ran into somone up there who kept trying to tell us it was closed but the only reason he had was "just cause."

This guy identified himself as Michael List. We're looking into it further, but the fence, gate and (future) signage are for real. We have a meeting with SITLA in the works but non the less, we have always known about the Cloudrock developement but thought it was a dead item until the other day. Nothing public has been mentioned regarding the development which was a hot subject here in Moab a couple years ago (before 9-11).
