I am in the process of changing to an electric fan but as usual have run into the usual problem:
it won't fit!
I have a Zirgo 16" 3300cfm fan, I have already gotten the stock fan and shroud off but the fan is too large for the area opened up (it hits the fan bolts).
I know that this has been discussed here before so hope you all can help.
I saw a guy who cut off the fan pulley and bearing and used a shorter serpentine. I have looked at my application and think that if I were to do that the belt would hit on the bracket below the alternator near the harmonic balancer.
Has anyone else had this circumstance and how did you resolve it?
thanks for your thoughts and suggestions in advance.
