oil filter mount mod

Ok, I'm putting a 93 motor in an 87. I want to use the old style oil filter mount that points up, it's easier to get to the filter. (plus otherwise I have a few filters for the 87 that would be paperweights)

Will the 87's filter mount bolt onto the 93 motor in an upright position?

I have no desire to fill the filter before putting it on, upright is what I want.

What about some kind of remotely located oil filter. I think that Amsoil has one.

thank you, however none of those threads or writeups fit what I want to do. I want to do the oppisite of what everyone else does, I want the upright filter.

Having worked on both I have no idea why people think it's easier to change the horizontal mount :dunno:

I use a socket type filter wrench and it's much easier to remove the upright filter.
