Tranny Cooling lines, in or out?

Im installing a Tranny temp guage and need to know which cooler line is the tranny fluid out? Is it the one toward the front or rear of the tranny.

1990 XJ with AW4/NP231
 
The forward one is pressure (to the cooler), the rear one is return.
