rusted rockers

I'm looking at purchasing an 89 cherokee, and the rockers are just rusted completely gone, and the floorboards are solid. could this be a problem right off the bat, it won't be my daily driver. how expensive could this be too fix, and how hard is it too fix?

The tube steel replacements are good if you know you'll need rock rails anyway. For a daily driver, the JC Whitney replacements will be a lot cheaper and a lot easier.

I have an 89 with rusted out rockers also. Alot of people replace them with tubing but use the old pinch seem to attach the new tubing too. But my pinch seem is rusted off too, so what is the best way to attach the new tubing?

Should I strengthen the floor area and then attach the tubing there and to the pillars (like everyone else does)?

Dline, are the pinch seems on your possible purchase intact?

If you have no pinch seam (like mine) you have a couple options

1) 2x5 tubular steel and 1"angle which you weld to the floor near the pinch seam area.
2) 2x4 tubular steel and some flat stock that you can weld to the bottom and then weld (or bolt if you don't wheel in rocks) to the floor pan.
3) use some angle to recreate the pinch seam and still use the jcwhitless rockers.
you can use 3x instead of 2x also.
If you don't do rocks the jcwhitless stuff is a good option. I got my 2x4 free and have some pcs of flat steel that I can attach to the 2x4 and bolt it to the floor (weld later too).
there are a bunch of writeups around, do a search and you'll see a few different methods.
