ok i have a D 35 that needs new axles and seals my seals worn out again axle shafts are pitted i am thinking of going to a D44 axle will it work

yup 87 XJ44 direct bolt in... if ya search some, there's tons of threads addressing this issue

Like the man said -- direct bolt in. Just be sure to get the same gear ratio.
