Power Steering Noise in 4 Low

Well when doing a trail this afternoon, my powersteering started making some serious noise and basically lost power off and on. It seems to only have problems (make the noise and lose power) in 4 low. It will make the noise with moderate turning and progressively get worse as I turn it farther. It isn't leaking fluid and the fluid level was great. Does it sound like I need a new pump? It is a 00 XJ with the stock steering pump, rusty's steering conversion and brace.

Id say the pump is shitin the bed or is low on fluid, it acts up when you turn because of the stress the locker puts on it

Before you assume the worst, make sure that belt is good and tight. Intermittent catch and loss of assist can often be caused by belt slippage.
